Learn one and get two
This is a high quality, international standard training program for engineers/bachelors in Food Technology, which enhances English proficiency and allows students to enjoy not only the university’s educational background, prestige, high quality, and 4-star standard of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, but also the standard training program of Providence University (Taiwan).
A special feature of the international standard Food Technology double degree program with enhanced English is that students receive formal training and international degrees. Students would study for 2.5 years at Nguyen Tat Thanh University (Vietnam), then 1.5 years at Providence University (Taiwan). This assists students to achieve reduced study costs with opportunities to receive 2 degrees, including Engineering in Food Technology by Nguyen Tat Thanh University (Vietnam) and Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition by Providence University (Taiwan). The achievement of 2 degrees from the two universities is an advantage for students to have more job opportunities in the future.
International standard training program, in accordance with the social development trend
Studying the international standard Food Technology training program at Nguyen Tat Thanh University (Vietnam), students would have various opportunities to experience the dynamic academic environment, especially improving their English skills. During the first 2.5 years at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the training program is taught both in Vietnamese and English. There are intensive English classes for both communicative and specialized English, which is suitable for the English levels of the admitted students. Moreover, at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, students can be equipped with the basic knowledge and foundation for the preparation of the next 1.5 years of studying at Providence University. The curriculum has been designed to provide the equivalent knowledge and skills between the two universities.
During the final 1.5 years at Providence University, the training program is fully taught in English for major subjects. Students would do internships at companies in Taiwan as well as conduct research projects supervised by professors of Providence University. When studying at Providence University, each student has a co-supervisor from Nguyen Tat Thanh University to support them in their studies to achieve the most favorable results. English requirements to study at Providence University are TOEFL 500 or equivalent certificates, or to pass the test organized by both Nguyen Tat Thanh and Providence Universities. At Providence University, students are provided the priority to stay in dormitories near the university for convenience and safety purposes. Students can use the facilities for free for sports activities and are introduced to part-time jobs with overtime hours as prescribed by Providence University. After graduating, students can apply for jobs in Taiwan or continue to register for graduate studies.
